TES10C Gauss Meter | AC/DC Magnetic Field Tester

Product Description

PORTABLE AC AND DC MAGNETIC FIELD MEASUREMENT

TES10C Gauss Meter

TES10C Gauss Meter

The TES10C is a handheld Gauss Meter designed to measure the magnetic field. Its small size, light weight and convenient carry suit laboratory, production and field use, and it provides a judgment function of magnetic field polarity. Unlike DC-only models, the TES10C measures both AC and DC fields, with switchable mT and Gs units, peak value hold and a quick zero setting.

Key Features

1.  AC and DC measurement — measures both AC and DC magnetic fields with a DC/AC selection key

2.  Polarity judgment — judges magnetic field polarity, and shows N/S polarity indication in AC mode

3.  Peak value hold — holds the peak reading so a transient maximum is not lost

4.  Switchable units — readings can be changed over between Gs and mT

5.  Quick zero setting — establishes the zero point quickly before a measurement

6.  Compact and light — small size and light weight for convenient carry

7.  4.5-digit display — 4-1/2" digital display gives a clear, easy-to-read value

Probe, Power and Accessories

The instrument is supplied with a measurement probe and a power adapter in a carrying case, and the battery compartment takes four AA cells for cordless operation.

Measurement Notes

1.  Select AC or DC first — choose the field type with the DC/AC key before taking a reading

2.  Quick zero setting — zero the instrument away from the magnetic source before measuring

3.  AC range selection — AC ×1 gives 0.01 mT resolution over 0.00–200.00 mT; AC ×10 covers the wider 0.0–2000.0 mT range

4.  Surface measurement — place the Hall probe chip side against the magnetic surface for a reading closer to the measured value

5.  Peak readings — use peak value hold when the field is transient or varies during the scan

6.  Unit conversion — 1 mT = 10 Gs; switch the unit keys when working in either system

The model differences above are based on the supplied product data. The TES10C is the model of the three that measures AC as well as DC fields; the separate AC ×1 and AC ×10 ranges give 0.01 mT and 0.1 mT resolution respectively.
